Our history
Nuts and Bolts Robotics was founded in 2018 out of Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, CA. Since then, we have worked to inspire students to become leaders in the STEM field, grown our team, built technically competitive robots, and encouraged community involvement and exploration of robotics.
The team competes in FIRST Robotics Competition, a worldwide organization facilitating a hands-on approach to STEM in a competitive setting. As a team, we embrace the core values of FIRST, including Gracious Professionalism, which encourages healthy competition, respect, and high-quality work. We also extend this to executing another key facet of FIRST - spreading STEM education and passion for technology. So far, we have assisted in mentoring FLL team 461: Terminatorz at our local middle school, running a summer camp for kids in elementary and middle school, and appearing at local events.
As 2019 Rookie All-Stars at the Monterey Bay Regional, we were also invited to compete in the FRC World Championship in Houston, TX. This pushed us to better our team and work towards even greater future success. We are excited to continue growing, competing in events, and working to inspire future engineers.
